We are a small family business operated from the edge of Dartmoor in Tavistock. We have been good friends since Primary School. We always discussed as kids how we would like one day to run our own business together. We now not only work together… We fell in love, got married and are lucky enough to have a lovely set of twins. It of course has its challenges, but there is nothing more rewarding than being a Mortgage Adviser from home, working for yourself, juggling twins and a Cockapoo called Buddy!

Leanne started out as a Mortgage Adviser in 2004 working for Fox and Sons Estate Agents in Sussex. After that she became self employed and set up Dartmoor Financial in 2009. Leanne has over 20 years experience as an Adviser and would be happy to look at any situation you may be in. Due to her experience with all sorts of challenging cases, we like to keep her focused on making the difficult and near impossible, possible for our clients and she remains our Senior Adviser.

Stuart came in via a different route. After 9 Years as an Investment Adviser with Britannia Building Society and then the Co-operative Bank as a Branch Manager, the opportunity arose for Stuart to join Leanne and became part of Dartmoor Financial in 2014. As well as arranging standard mortgages, he specialises in Later Life Lending, and has done for approx. 12 years now so has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area. Throughout this period he has been nominated for 3 national awards, and won 2 of them in 2021 and 2023, and was a finalist in 2026.
